5G ecosystem enabler demonstrates its Next Generation Central Office, edge servers, and collaboration/customer use cases
Shanghai, China (June 26, 2019) - Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), a data center solution provider, launched its cutting-edge telco solutions, and showcased its Next Generation Central Office (NGCO) and edge servers, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2019 at Booth G140 in Hall N1 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
QCT has decades of expertise in producing its own data center technologies and experience creating cloud computing infrastructures. The company is now leapfrogging to provide innovative platforms for 5G. Based on various workload profiles, QCT has been developing a NFV framework to achieve excellent performance, higher stability and lower latency requirements for next generation telco network. In order to communicate this move from data centers to telco clouds, and edge computing, the company is demonstrating collaborations with Baicells, ASTRI, and CertusNet at their booth for the duration of MWC Shanghai. Customer use cases with China Mobile Research Institute (CMRI), Rakuten, and Taiwania 2 (the fastest supercomputer in Taiwan and 20th fastest in the world) will also be featured with QCT experts on hand to answer any questions around products and solutions designed for edge computing, AI/ML, and NGCO.
“Our latest innovations are set to disrupt the entire telco industry,” said Mike Yang, President of QCT. “Through our strategic partnerships with companies like Intel, Rakuten, Red Hat, and VMware, QCT is showing that it plays a critical role as a 5G ecosystem enabler to drive fundamental changes in the way mobile telecommunication companies plan, deploy, and manage their infrastructures.”
QCT, along with strategic partners like Intel, Rakuten, Red Hat, and VMware are innovating and creating crucial elements for 5G services, as those services need to run multiple functions on a single general-purpose platform by using virtual network functions (VNF) rather than on purpose-built appliances.
From data center to edge solutions, QCT offers an expansive portfolio for Telco companies aiming to embrace digital innovations. As 2020 approaches with 5G’s eminent arrival, a strong infrastructure solution will play an essential role to support multiple use cases and applications across various industry sectors.
The QCT booth will be open from June 26 to 28, 2019. Don’t miss the chance to visit us at Booth G140 in Hall N1 of the SNIEC in Shanghai, China.
