Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) Receives Editors’ Choice Award: Top 5 Vendors to Watch in 2014 HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards
Company also joins HPC Advisory Council, Exhibits at SC14 Event.
New Orleans — November 17, 2014 — Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT) has been recognized in the annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards, presented at the 2014 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC14), in New Orleans. QCT was recognized with the Editors’ Choice Award: Top 5 Vendors to Watch.
The coveted annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards are determined through a nomination and voting process with the global HPCwire community, along with a selection process in which the editors of HPCwire make selections. The awards are an annual feature of the publication and constituteprestigious recognition from the HPC community. These awards are revealed each year to kick off the annual supercomputing conference, which showcases high performance computing, networking, storage, and data analysis.
You can visit QCT in booth 2949 at the SC14 supercomputing event in New Orleans this week.
Additionally, QCT has joined the HPC Advisory Council. The organization’s mission is to bridge the gap between high-performance computing (HPC) use and its potential, bring the beneficial capabilities of HPC to new users for better research, education, innovation and product manufacturing, bring users the expertise needed to operate HPC systems, provide application designers with the tools needed to enable parallel computing, and to strengthen the qualification and integration of HPC system products.
QCT has a wide range of HPC products, from conventional 19-inch multi-node servers and high-density converged storage to rack-level open standard products like Rackgo X and Rackgo M. All deliver hyperscale performance, efficiency and advanced engineering to solve HPC challenges from single-rack to hyperscale deployments. QCT HPC products are easy to deploy and service, and they are optimized for specific HPC workloads such as life sciences and genomics, computer aided engineering, financial services and electronics design.
This year at SC14, QCT will introduce the industry’s first OCP Open Rack GPGPU server concept. Equipped with a dual Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2600 v3 processor design, this 3OU system can install up to eight double-width Xeon-Phi/GPGPU cards for computationally-intensive workloads.
"HPCwire readers are among the most informed in the HPC community and these awards are ultimately given to the organizations that are making the biggest impacts in advancing technology and humanity itself through high performance computing,” said Tom Tabor, CEO of Tabor Communications, publisher of HPCwire. "The HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards send a strong message of support and appreciation from those in the global HPC community. We are proud to be able to recognize these efforts each your and our congratulations go out to all the winners.”
